Almond Orchard

Stevinson, CA

  • Date: 2016 – Current

  • Crop: Almonds

  • Project Type: Orchard Restoration

Our first large-scale experiment is on an almond orchard.  This almond orchard had been slated for its final season in 2016.  At the end of its lifespan, and suffering from drought conditions, production has been low.  At the request of the owner, we applied our product at the rate of 2 tons per acre.

About The Trial

Our first large-scale experiment is on an almond orchard.  This almond orchard had been slated for its final season in 2016.  At the end of its lifespan, and suffering from drought conditions, production has been low.

At the request of the owner we applied our product at the rate of 2 tons per acre.  This section of the orchard has had no other applications except for an anti-fungal foliar spray.  2 additional sections of almonds are across a gravel road, approximately 2 cars wide, allowing us to compare our product against their conventional approach.  All other variables are the same across the sections of orchard except for our product being the sole input on the first section.

ShoEi Foods
Field Trial

Olivehurst, CA

  • Date: 2020 – 2022

  • Crop: Almonds

  • Project Type: Field Trial

ShoEi Foods is conducting a 25-year Field Trial following UC Davis Field Trial protocol. The Field Trial is being done on an 88-acre plot of land with half being fertilized with commercial chemicals and the other half using BioRoc; Field 5 and 5b respectively.

To date, the Field 5b using the BioRoc is responding beautifully and has grown equal to or better than the chemical fertilizer trees in Field 5.

About The Trial

The Field Trial is being conducted over a 25 year time period. Regular Leaf Tissue Samples are being taken to compare the nutrient levels of the two fields. Water consumption is being monitored to determine the level of water savings that is possible with BioRoc. The independent lab data is shown in the Leaf Tissue Sample Data, which shows that the BioRoc orchard has the same level of nutrients, including Nitrogen, as the chemically grown trees. Considering that BioRoc is a one-time application in the Fall, the labor costs are an excellent savings, as well as the reduction in water consumption. Added to the savings, an additional increase in revenue is achieved from the increase in yield.

Industrial Hemp

Alberta, Canada

  • Date: 2019

  • Crop: Industrial Hemp

  • Project Type: Field Trial

InnoTech Alberta conducted a one-acre pilot field trial in Alberta Canada focused on testing the effectiveness of Hemp Blend as a sole source of nutrients in production of a fiber usage type hemp variety known as Joey. Among all tested performance parameters of industrial hemp grown in the field our product appeared to have the biggest impact on grain yield. The Hemp Blend amended field produced 72% more seeds than the control field.

About The Trial

InnoTech Alberta conducted a one-acre pilot field trial in Alberta Canada focused on testing the effectiveness of PoweRoc, BioRoc, and Hemp Blend as a sole source of nutrients in production of a fiber usage type hemp variety known as Joey. Among all tested performance parameters of industrial hemp grown in the field our product appeared to have the biggest impact on grain yield. The Hemp Blend amended field produced 72% more seeds than the control field. The use of Hemp Blend also reduced the effects of the Club Root Disease to the level that it did not infect the plants using the non-chemical fertilizer blend.
